How to find your LinkedIn company ID

LinkedIn has discontinued support for certain third-party integrations, including its connection with Trakstar. This decision was made by LinkedIn and the integration is no longer available.

If you're configuring LinkedIn job posting integration, you may be asked to provide your LinkedIn Company ID. This unique numeric identifier allows Trakstar Hire to map your job postings to the correct LinkedIn company page.

This article explains how to locate your LinkedIn Company ID.

Before You Begin

To complete these steps, you should:

  • Be an administrator or have access to your organization's LinkedIn Company Page.
  • Know which LinkedIn Company Page should be associated with your job postings.

Find Your LinkedIn Company ID

  1. Sign in to LinkedIn.
  2. Navigate to your organization's LinkedIn Company Page.
  3. Open the company page in your browser.
  4. Look at the page URL.

Depending on the version of LinkedIn you're using, the Company ID may be visible directly in the URL or within the page source.


Option 1: Find the ID in the Page Source

If the Company ID is not visible in the URL:

  1. Open your LinkedIn Company Page.
  2. Right-click anywhere on the page and select View Page Source (or the equivalent option in your browser).
  3. Use your browser's Find feature (Ctrl + F on Windows or Command + F on Mac).
  4. Search for:
companyId
  1. Locate the numeric value associated with companyId .

That number is your LinkedIn Company ID.


Option 2: If You Don't See See All Jobs

Some LinkedIn Company Pages do not display a See All Jobs option.

If that option isn't available:

  1. Open your company's LinkedIn Page.
    • If you're having trouble locating the page, try using an incognito or private browsing window.
  2. Search for your company if needed.
  3. Click See All (#) Employees.
  4. Copy the numeric ID from the URL.
    • In this URL, the Company ID typically appears after CurrentCompany=%5B .

Verify the Company ID

To verify the number:

  1. Open a new browser tab.

  2. Enter:

    www.linkedin.com/company/<CompanyID>

  3. Press Enter.

If LinkedIn opens your company's page, you've found the correct Company ID.

Enter this Company ID when prompted while sharing your posting to LinkedIn.

LinkedIn Recruiter

If you use LinkedIn Recruiter, you can retrieve the application link for an opening directly from Recruiter.

  1. Open the job in LinkedIn Recruiter.
  2. Select the opening you want to reference.
  3. Open the Candidate Sources tab.
  4. Locate the Application Link URL.

If you'd like to track applicants from a specific source:

  1. Select Share a trackable link.
  2. Enter a source name.
  3. Select Copy trackable link.

The generated URL appends a source parameter (for example, ?source=XYZ ). Any candidates who apply using that link will have the specified source recorded in Trakstar Hire.


Important: Select Copy trackable link after entering the source name. This saves the source so Trakstar Hire can track applicants correctly.
