Integration: Connect Trakstar Hire and Paylocity
The Paylocity integration allows you to automatically transfer hired candidates from Trakstar Hire into Paylocity, helping streamline the transition from recruiting to onboarding and HR.
What the Integration Does
Once a candidate is marked as Hired in Trakstar Hire, the integration automatically exports the candidate's information to Paylocity. This reduces manual data entry and helps move new hires into your HR workflow more efficiently.
Before You Begin
The Paylocity integration is configured by the Trakstar Hire Support team.
To request the integration:
- Contact hire@trakstar.com.
- The Support team will complete the setup of your Paylocity integration.
How the Integration Works
After the integration has been configured:
- Every hour, the integration checks Trakstar Hire for newly hired candidates.
- Any newly hired candidates are automatically exported to Paylocity.
- No manual export is required after a candidate has been marked as Hired.
Information Sent to Paylocity
The following candidate information is automatically transferred:
- First and Last Name
- Personal Email Address
- Personal Phone Number
- Hire Date
- Optionally, the integration will capture the following custom candidate data if entered:
- Street Address
- City
- State
- Zip
Username Creation
When the candidate is exported, the integration creates a temporary Paylocity username using the following format:
FirstName.LastName
If necessary, the username is shortened to comply with Paylocity's 20-character username limit.
What Happens Next?
After the candidate is exported:
- The employee is created in Paylocity as an Onboarding employee.
- Complete any remaining onboarding information directly within Paylocity.
