Opening Custom Fields

Opening Custom Fields are a great way to store internal-only information about your openings such as salary budget, internal codes, advertisement budgets, and more.

To set up Opening Custom Fields, you’ll go to Settings > Opening Custom Fields:

Here you can click the +Add New Field button:

Here, you’ll see the fields to fill out for your Custom Field.

  • Field Name: The title of the field
  • Field Type: Which answer type you want to provide to your team. The options are:

Text, Paragraph text, Number, Date, Web-link / URL, Single-select list.

  • Make it private: This allows you to make the custom field visible to only Super Admins and Recruitment Managers

In this example below, you can see that the field name is Department, the field type is Single-select list with the options to select, and the private box is checked.

Now that you’ve got your Custom Fields set up, let’s see how they look on your opening! Under the Job Details tab of your opening, you’ll notice that none of the fields you set up are appearing. To add the fields you just created, you can click the blue Set up now text.

You will then see all the Custom Fields you created, and you can fill them all out or you can choose to only fill out one of them. Opening Custom Fields are available to all openings, but you don’t need to use them all on every opening!

Once you fill out the custom fields that you want, you’ll then see them appear on your opening under the Additional Details field:

Reporting

  • Opening Custom Fields pull to the Opening Excel Report. They will display as a column with the header of “Opening Info”.
