Create To-Dos for Candidates

Candidate to-dos help you track follow-up actions and assign recruiting tasks to yourself or other members of your hiring team. Use to-dos to stay organized and ensure important candidate activities aren't overlooked.

Create a Candidate To-Do

To add a to-do for a candidate:

  1. Open the candidate's profile.
  2. Locate the stage the candidate's in  and click Add To-Do.

  3. Enter the task details.
  4. Assign the to-do to yourself or another user.
  5. (Optional) Set a due date.
  6. Save the to-do.

The new task is immediately added to the candidate's profile and becomes visible to the assigned user.

Manage Candidate To-Dos

After a to-do has been created, you can manage it directly from the candidate's profile.

Depending on your permissions, you can:

  • Edit the task details.
  • Reassign the task to another user.
  • Update the due date.
  • Mark the task as complete.
  • Delete the task if it is no longer needed.

View Outstanding Tasks

Open the candidate's profile at any time to review active and completed to-dos associated with that candidate.

Using candidate-specific to-dos helps hiring teams:

  • Track follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate responsibilities across recruiters and hiring managers.
  • Ensure important recruiting tasks are completed on time.
  • Maintain visibility into candidate-specific work throughout the hiring process.
  • You can also view pending to-dos in the calendar section on the left sidebar.

Best Practices

To keep your recruiting process organized:

  • Write clear, action-oriented task descriptions.
  • Assign each to-do to a single owner.
  • Add due dates for time-sensitive activities.
  • Mark tasks as complete as soon as the work is finished to keep candidate profiles current.
