Password Reset/Change

Overview

You can change your password at any time, whether you've forgotten it or simply want to update it for security purposes.

Super Admins can also reset passwords for other users if they are unable to access their accounts.

Reset Your Password from the Login Screen

If you can't sign in to your account:

1. Navigate to the Trakstar Hire login page.

2. Click Can't log in?

   

3. Enter the email address associated with your Trakstar Hire account.

   

4. Click Send Recovery Link.
5. Open the password reset email.
6. Follow the prompts provided in the link .

7. Enter your new password twice.

   

8. Click Save Password.

After saving your new password, you'll be automatically signed in. Use your new password the next time you log in.

Change Your Password While Logged In

If you're already signed in:

1. Click Settings.

   

2. Select Profile & Password.

   

3. Choose Change Password.

   

4. Enter:
   • Your current password.
   • Your new password.

   • Your new password again to confirm.

     

5. Click Save.

A confirmation message appears after your password has been updated successfully.

Reset Another User's Password

To change another user's password:

1. Click Settings.

2. Select Users settings.

   

3. Find the user whose password you want to reset and click Edit.

   

4. Select Change Password.

   

5. Enter the new password.

6. Save your changes.

   

The user can immediately sign in using the new password you assigned.

Password Requirements and FAQs

Passwords must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum of 9 characters.
• Passwords expire every 90 days.
• You cannot reuse your previous 10 passwords.
• When a password expires, you'll be prompted to create a new one the next time you sign in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I change my login email address?

Yes. Login email addresses cannot be changed from within the application.

To request an email address update, contact hire@trakstar.com and include:

• Your current email address.
• The new email address you would like to use.

Do passwords expire?

Yes. Passwords expire every 90 days to help maintain account security. When your password expires, you'll be prompted to create a new password the next time you sign in.
