Trakstar Hire Jobs Widget

The Trakstar Hire Jobs Widget lets you display your open positions directly on your organization's website, giving candidates a seamless way to browse and apply for jobs without leaving your site. Applications submitted through the widget are automatically routed into Trakstar Hire.


Benefits of the Jobs Widget

Using the Jobs Widget allows you to:

  • Display current job openings on your website.
  • Match the look and feel of your existing website.
  • Provide a seamless application experience for candidates.
  • Automatically send applications into Trakstar Hire.
  • Keep your careers page up to date without manually updating job listings.

Get the Jobs Widget Code

Only Super Admins can access the Jobs Widget code.

To retrieve the widget code:

  1. Click your profile menu in the upper-right corner of Trakstar Hire.
  2. Select Company Settings.
  3. Under Job Boards and Publishing, select Careers Site.
  4. Open the Jobs Widget tab.
  5. Copy the generated widget code.
  6. Paste the code into your website where you want your job listings to appear.

If someone else manages your website, you can send them the widget code and setup instructions directly from this page.

  • On this page, you will see the code for the widget. This is what you need to copy and paste on the backend of your website to display the Jobs Widget.


Change the Widget Language

The Jobs Widget supports multiple languages.

To change the display language:

  1. Navigate to the Jobs Widget settings.
  2. Select your preferred language from the language selector.
  3. Click Save.

The widget updates automatically after you save your changes. You do not need to generate new widget code or replace the existing code on your website. It may take a few minutes for the language change to appear.

Supported languages include:

  • English
  • French
  • German
  • Spanish
  • Portuguese
  • Arabic
  • Danish
  • Italian
  • Norwegian
  • Dutch
  • Finnish
  • Polish

Only the widget's built-in field labels are translated. You are responsible for translating your own content, such as job descriptions and application questions.

Organize Job Listings

Super Admins can choose how jobs are grouped on the Jobs Widget.

Available grouping options include:

  • Location
  • Position type (Full-time, Part-time, Contract)
  • Teams

To configure grouping:

  1. Open Company Settings.
  2. Under Job Boards and Publishing, select Grouping Jobs on Widget & Hosted Site.
  3. Choose how you want jobs to be organized.


Manage Teams

Teams are custom categories used to organize openings on the Jobs Widget.

For example, teams can represent:

  • Departments
  • Business units
  • Geographic regions
  • Any other organizational grouping

To assign openings to teams:

  1. Open Grouping Jobs on Widget & Hosted Site.
  2. Select Manage Teams.
  3. Select one or more openings.
  4. Click Move to Team.
  5. Enter the name of an existing or new team.
  6. Click Save.

Repeat these steps until all openings are organized as needed.





Enable Job Filters

You can allow candidates to filter job listings on the widget.

Available filters include:

  • Location
  • Team
  • Both location and team

Filtering can be enabled from the Grouping Jobs on Widget & Hosted Site settings.

Customize the Widget

If you need additional customization beyond the standard widget options, you can edit the widget code directly.

Trakstar Hire also provides an Openings API for organizations that want to build a custom careers experience or integrate openings into their own applications.

WordPress Support

If your website is built with WordPress:

  1. Open the page or post where you want the Jobs Widget to appear.
  2. Switch the editor from Visual to Text mode.
  3. Paste the Jobs Widget code into the page.
  4. Save or publish your changes.

React Support

The Jobs Widget can also be used in React applications by implementing the provided wrapper and referencing your widget ID.

Updating Job Listings

You do not need to manually update the Jobs Widget after creating, editing, or closing openings.

The widget automatically reflects changes made in Trakstar Hire.

Additional Options

If you don't have a company website, you can use a Hosted Careers Site to publish your openings.

You can also:

  • Share individual job links.
  • Publish openings to supported job boards.
  • Share openings on social media.
