Can't log in? Do you need to change your password? Don't worry - we make that simple!
Resetting your password from the login screen
The first way you can change your password is on the login screen. This is helpful when you can't remember your password, and need to reset it to access your account!
On the login screen, click "Can't log in?"
On the next screen, enter the email address you used when you signed up for Trakstar Hire, and then click "Send recovery link"
An email will be sent to the email address you entered with a link to reset your password. Follow that link to a password reset page where you can enter your new password twice, and then click "Save Password"
You will then be logged in to your account. Next time you login you will use the new password you selected.
Resetting your password from within Hire
Go to Settings > Profile & Password:
On the next screen you can click to change your password
You will enter your current password, and then your new password twice. Afterwards, click "Save"
When your password has been saved successfully, you'll get a confirmation message
As an account Super Admin, can I change the password of other users?
Yes! Account Super Admins also have the ability to change the password of fellow users. Here are the steps to do this:
Go to Settings > Users:
On the right side of each user, you can click "Edit"
The user's details will display. Click "Change Password" to edit the password
Do passwords expire?
Yes! To keep your account safe, we have the following password settings in place:
- Passwords will expire after 90 days
- Users will be prompted to update their password the next time they login
- You can't use their last 10 passwords
