Changing Your Time Zone

Your personal time zone controls how dates and times are displayed throughout Trakstar Hire, including interview schedules and other time-based activities. Keeping your time zone up to date helps ensure you see the correct times and avoid scheduling issues.

Update Your Time Zone

1. In Trakstar Hire, navigate to Settings.

2. Select Profile & Password.

   

3. Locate the Time Zone dropdown.

   

4. Select your correct time zone from the list.
   • If your exact city is not listed, choose the nearest major city in the same time zone.
5. Click Save to apply your changes.

If Your Time Zone Is Incorrect

If you are unable to update your own time zone or the setting is unavailable, contact your account's Super Admin. Super Admins can update the time zone for other users by navigating to:

Settings → Users → Edit User → Time Zone → Save.

Edit a User's Time Zone (Super Admin)

If a user has the wrong time zone configured, a Super Admin can update it on their behalf. This helps ensure interview schedules and other time-based activities display correctly for that user.

Update a User's Time Zone

1. Go to Settings.
2. Select Users.
3. Find the user you want to update.

4. Click Edit next to their name.

   

5. Locate the Time Zone dropdown.

6. Select the correct time zone.

   

   • If the user's exact city is not listed, choose the nearest major city in the same time zone.

     

7. Click Save to apply the change.

After Updating the Time Zone

After saving the change, it's recommended that you notify the user that their time zone has been updated so they're aware that future dates and times will display correctly.

Recommendations

• Verify your time zone before scheduling interviews or meetings.
• Update your time zone if you relocate or travel for an extended period.
• After a Super Admin updates your time zone, it's a good idea for them to let you know the change has been made.
